
LITTLE MOUNTAIN —A 56-year-old Little Mountain man has been arrested and charged with two counts of burglary stemming from break-ins at Wilson’s II on Main Street.
Julius Henderson Goodwin, also known as Pete Caughman, of 236 Ponderosa Lane, remained in the Newberry County Detention Center on Thursday in lieu of $15,000 bond.
Sheriff Lee Foster stated in a press release that Wilson’s II was broken into April 4 and again April 24 after a cement block was used to break the glass at the front of the store. Cartons of Newport cigarettes were stolen each time.
Goodwin has an extensive criminal history that includes 10 prior burglary convictions, a strong armed robbery conviction, and an array of larceny and drug related charges mounting to a 24-page criminal history. He was last released from jail in November 2014.
