WHITMIRE — A Whitmire man has been charged with three counts of distribution of crack cocaine and second offense possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and marijuana.
Frank Jeter, 44, of 763 Duckett Ave. in Whitmire, was arrested and charged with three counts of distribution of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute (second offense), and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute (second offense).
He was taken to the Newberry County Detention Center. A bond hearing has not yet been held.
Officers from the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office and Whitmire Police Department served a search warrant on Jeter’s apartment Friday morning and found approximately 2 grams of crack cocaine and 24 grams of marijuana.
The search warrant was the result on an ongoing law enforcement investigation between the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office, Whitmire Police Department, and Laurens County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators says that Jeter had previously sold crack cocaine to an undercover operative on several occasions during the ongoing investigation.
